Kim Seeger
Artist
The colorful and expressive art of Kim Seeger is created in hopes to capture a favorite memory on canvas. Her desire is to stir up happy emotions each time you view her artwork.
Kim has always been inspired by 'the arts'! Her travel and God's beautiful creation prompted the desire to capture HIS beauty on canvas. Harbour Island, aka Briland, inspired Kim’s first collection because of the beautiful pink sands and friendly people. She has been traveling to Harbour Island for 15+ years.
Kim was born in Cheraw, SC and grew up from 2nd grade until graduation from High School in Virginia. She has an Associate of Arts Degree from Peace College in Raleigh NC and a BS Degree in Nursing from The University of Virginia. Kim worked at Duke University Medical Center in Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care for 5 years until having her first child. She moved from Durham NC, to Dallas Texas, then settled in Charleston, SC in 1992 where she now resides.
Kim opened an interior design firm, Corporate Interiors, in 2000. Upon marring her husband, Edward Seeger, she joined him at American Media Services in sales. They now own and operate Seeger Media as well as a marketing company in Charleston, S.C. called Digital Ignite. At one time they owned an Art Gallery in Charleston.
Kim is high energy and in the past coached basketball, volleyball, played tennis/golf, and remained busy raising her two children. Now that her children are grown, she has decided to focus on oil painting. She also enjoys fund-raising for different organizations, has held various positions in the Charleston County Medical Society Auxiliary, served on the board of Tara Hall Home for Boys in Georgetown, SC and serves on the Board of The Medical University of South Carolina's Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs. Kim is actively trying to bring a charity called CanCare to the Charleston area for those going through Cancer treatment to connect with others who have had the same cancer and same treatment. CanCare originates out of Houston Texas. (https://cancare.org/)
Church and bible study are an important part of Kim's life. She enjoys traveling, golfing, oil painting, and being with her family. Ed and Kim have a combined family of 6 children and 4 grandchildren (and one on the way!! :).
One of Kim’s favorite verses: Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
